The history of the Star Class is quite interesting and exiting. Born in 1911 (based on earlier predecessors) it became the first sail boat class world wide. The star class kept young and competitive with new coming up developments over nearly a century because a wise class policy kept the balance between innovation and tradition. Furthermore the star class is the oldest Olympic class.
